Collection: Balls - Rubber - Santoprene 40D

A high performance thermoplastic created by cross linking EPDM rubber with Polypropylene. As an elastomer plastic it is flexible, light weight, and has very good abrasion resistance. It also has good resistance to many acids, bases and
aqueous solutions. It holds up well in both extreme hot and cold environments which can make it preferred over rubber. Common uses include; grips, knobs, handles, gaskets, and ball check valves.
Specific Gravity .95 g/cc. Hardness, Shore 40D Tensile Strength 3000 psi. Melting Point 410 F Rohs Compliant. Not FDA compliant. This grade is slightly harder than the 87A grade. Colour usually red but some sizes are beige.
