Collection: Inserts - Thread Repair - Keylocking Starter Sets

Keylocking inserts are used to repair threads by tapping the worn thread to a standard larger thread, twisting the insert into place and then driving in the keys to lock the insert.
Each kit contains an installation tool and the quantity of inserts shown. One size per kit.
Also known as keenserts, keylocking inserts are available in mild steel and stainless steel.
Installation is by drilling out the old thread, countersinking, tapping new thread with a standard tap, screwing the insert until slightly below the surface, then tapping down the keys using the tool supplied and a hammer.
